The
Environment Agency is now rigorously enforcing the full de-pollution
of End-of-Life Vehicles, as required under the ELV Regulations 2003,
which require that all vehicle fluids be removed, collected separately
and stored. In Particular the Agency are focusing on recovery of
oils from shock absorbers and are taking immediate action against
operators who are found to be non-compliant. |

Shock Absorbers
Power
Transmission Engineering (Nottingham) Ltd have developed
a shock absorber oil extraction system.
Designed for fast easy extraction of fluid via a hydraulic punch
head into a vacuum storage vessel, fully complying with the Environment
Agency's requirements.
The shock absorber oil extraction system was developed with Sims

use in their de-pollution operations.
